I have been joining some of the forums around the Internet that focus on prevention of and recovery from identity theft.
It struck me that asset protection is the best defense against identity theft. Why? If you own no assets in your own name, you have removed the target from your forehead.
It won’t help with credit card theft, but at least no one has recourse against assets if you have them owned by your LLC and beneficiary controlled trust.
